Mental healthcare in the US today is in chaos. Despite the best efforts of many, a powerful few are in the midst of destruction: to mental health providers, to our safety net, especially towards our armed service veterans. We need each other. Check in on each other. Care about each other.
Just stop for a moment and freaking listen to a friend who needs an ear. I know, I know, that’s not the same as professional care, but in 2025, that ear may be all the person in pain may have access to.
And who knows, next week, that person in pain may be you. Be kind.
If you’re not in the trenches beside your friends, who will be in the trenches with you?
