The Day After No Kings Day
Sonnet 549
Saturday was No Kings Day. It’s too soon to say if it was a moment, the start of a movement, or just a blip, but here on Sunday evening, it was important. From 8-10 million people across the US, and several sites in Europe, Asia, and one site in Antarctica came out en force to proclaim that “We’re not gonna take it!”
I rant a bit first, then I read my poem. BTW-you can hear and read my No Kings Day work here - No Kings!
If this resonates, if you think this stuff matters: shares, likes, follows, comments - they matter, too. Thanks for reading this far.
