Science
it works, bitches. (Courtesy of XKCD)
First published in 2017. Far more important today than then.
Here’s the thing about science.
It doesn’t care. Not about your feelings, your ideology, your belief or not in a deity or in the scientific method.
Do the Science Thing.
Formulate the hypothesis.
Set up the experiment properly.
Calculate the data.
Check the data.
Analyze.
Publish.
Accept the criticism.
State the facts.
Whether you like the answers or not, whether you are testing drugs or metals or dishwashers or potato chip flavors, those are still the answers.
Science, it works.
FYI- I’m alive because of science. Drugs saved my life when I had two pulmonary emboli. Surgery and anesthesia and drugs saved my life when I had melanoma. You probably are, too. Or if not, certainly a loved one is. As a man living with a clotting disorder, it is science that keeps me alive today. And your loved one, too. Please don’t believe people with brain worms and zero scientific credibility and competency in, well, in anything.

When did we stop trusting science? I don't understand. I remember a woman receiving chemo when I did, while her son told her it was a bunch of baloney and she was going to die anyway. Wonderful son, sharing his distrust of science.
